I work with other artists and have fun doing collaborative projects… *

I love working with other artists. No matter the distance, art takes flight and binds us together.

Point your mouse on the photos which lead you to the videos of my collab with Anna Baker from Somerset. Anna and I met on Instagram. We are in the same community of artists who specialise in collage artworks, concertina and doing the 100 days project. I have always been an admirer of her work. In 2023 when we were both navigating our art life on Instagram Anna has some works she was selling and I was fortunate to collect a couple of special ones. Our collab was in the summer of 2024 and since then this beautiful concertina has been in four gallery exhibitions promoting shared creative spirit and friendship through the distance.

“Beneath Our Sky, a creative exchange between two friends. Using mixed media we sent back and forth adding to the expressive and atmospheric feelings of each individual postcards, covering emotions and thoughts from our everyday lives. It was a way for us to connect, share inspirations, and explore the different places we call home- one postcard at a time.”

This project was truly special to both of us. We found each other through a course we both took. Our communications was through Instagram and from lockdown, me caring for my husband while he was having chemotherapy. I poured out my heart to Sally. Sally has always been there to give me support. I invited her to work on this project and sent her the postcards I was working on. Our project has been in three exhibitions around Surrey. We found joy and connection even though we are far apart and haven’t met up yet. This year I intend to visit the Isle of Sky and the Hebrides. I will see Sally no matter what!

The Tides that Bind: From the Thames to the Cuyahoga, Mixed Media

My collaboration with Julie Shiel was about the River Thames and Cuyahoga River in Ohio. Here’s what the juror said;

“Stunning combination of organic images. The process creates curiosity. Elegantly arranged and wonderful craftsmanship.”

Project collab with Magsy Sandecka she gave me her artworks with mark makings, paintings of leaves, animals and the sun. I added my collage work and an impression of a landscape. You will be able to see the pages in details on my Instagram channel. Hover on the image and follow the link. Magsy and I also found each other through a course online and on Instagram. Together we managed to spent time in St Ives painting along the coast.

With Anna Baker and Magsy Sandecka at AceArts Gallery in Somerton. We finally saw each other and got be together during a workshop with Anna in Somerset! Yes we travelled!

It is my intention to give support and lift up emerging and established artists. I believe that by being together we create a space without boundaries, encourage one another, make meaningful connections, and share our skills to a wider audience.
